BUGS!

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

This weekend I was outside and the bugs were out in force. If you and your child are interested in bugs here are a few books that I thought might be informational and interesting.  The first few can be found in the non-fiction collection and the rest can be found in the picture book collection.

Ants by Cheryl Coughlan (JUV595.796 CO)    This is a beginning non-fiction book with a few words on a page.

Centipedes by Margaret Hall (JUV595.62 HA)

What Is an Insect? by Lola Schaefer (JUV585.7 SC)

Ladybugs by Cheryl Coughlan (JUV595.769 CO)

Bees Buzz! by Pam Scheunemann (JUV595.799 SC)

Pest Fest by Julia Durango (Yellow Picture Book Bin)

The Ants Go Marching by Ann Owen (Red Picture Book  Bin)

Centipedes 100 Shoes by Tony Ross (Brown Picture Book Bin)

The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle  (Board Book Blue Bin)

I hope that this will enhance your child’s natural interest in bugs, I know that they did for me.
