Crocs! by David Greenberg
Having moved from the city to a tropical island to escape such horrifying creatures as bugs and cats, a homeowner encounters a horde of friendly crocodiles, who drink Tabasco sauce, get tangled in dental floss, and turn the house into a swamp.
SONG: NEVER SMILE AT A CROCODILE
Never smile at a crocodile!
No, you can’t get friendly with a crocodile;
Don’t be taken in by his welcome grin;
He’s imagining how well you’d fit within his skin!
Never smile at a crocodile!
SONG: CROC ON A LOG
There once was a croc sitting on a log,
Down in the pool he saw a little frog
In jumped the croc, around went the log.
Splash went the water, and away swam the frog!
GAME: FEED THE CROC
Draw a croc face on the side of a box. Cut a hole out where the croc’s mouth would be. Add paper teeth if you want! Let your child “feed the croc” with bean bags.
GAME: CROSS CROC POND
Put paper or toy crocodiles in “pond”. Have your child cross the pond without being “caught” by the crocodile. * Variation: The crocs could be single socks.
