Apply For A Card

A free library card is available to all who reside within the city limits of Bettendorf and who fill out an application and show photo identification with name and current Bettendorf address. Examples of acceptible identification are :
- Valid Iowa Driver's License
- Valid Iowa State Identification Card
- Valid Voter's Registration Card
- Imprinted checks
- A pre-printed Lease Agreement
- First-class mail in an envelope postmarked within the last 30 days, along with ID that verifies the name
- Vehicle registration card
- Student ID if it includes address
Register in person:
Go to the Bettendorf Public Library Check Out desk, ask for and fill out an application and show identification.
Register on-line:
Fill out the form below and then pick up the card at the library after showing identification. The card will be available in most cases within 2 business days and will only be held two weeks for pick up. If a parent is obtaining a card for a child under 14, both the parent and the child must be present to pick up the card.
