Bettendorf Library Foundation Receives Grants

January 18th, 2010

The Bettendorf Library Foundation is pleased to announce that they are recipients of two generous grants. The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) awarded the Foundation a grant of $24,000 and the Riverboat Development Authority (RDA) awarded the Foundation $16,000. The funds will be used for the reconstruction of the Library’s circulation desk, interior kiosks,  software and reader kits for the RFID technology. The mission of the Library Foundation is “Raising money to support, enhance and preserve Bettendorf Public Library programs and services” and these grants will go a long way in supporting that mission. A sincere thank you to these organizations from the Foundation Board, the library staff and all volunteers for this consideration and generosity.
