Alive, Unabashed and Passionate: Extraordinary Women of the Bible

Thursday, June 17, 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Bettendorf Room

Dr. Rachel Z. Dulin brings biblical icons to life in a costumed presentation which is empowering and entertaining.  Alive, Unabashed and Passionate is meant to be provocative and lead to a greater understanding of the human experience, appealing to both men and women and to adult students of the Bible.  Dr. Dulin will be available for questions after the program and will be happy to autograph her books which will be for sale.  She was born in Israel, served in the Israeli army, and is now an American citizen.  She earned a Master of Arts and PhD in Religious and Theological Studies at Northwestern University and for most of her career was a Professor of Bible and Hebrew Language at the Spertus Institute in Chicago.  She has lectured across the country on subjects relating to the Biblical View of Aging, the Status of Women in the Bible, and the Political Voices of the Ancient Near East.  For this program, the Library is pleased to be partnering with the Jewish Federation of the Quad-Cities.
